DVD Burning?

I own a compact disc dvd rom drive on my dell computer. I also have a compact disc rewritable ultra speed drive. Both shipped beside the computer. What I want to know is if I can burn any kind of dvd (dvd-rw, dvd-r, dvd+rw - I don't even know them all) on any of these drives.

DVD Burning?

It should say something contained by the drive that it is RW. Mine shows RW and on bottom DVD-R DL. It may say something close to that to show you that you can burn something or another one is DVD-Multi Recorder. But every dvd-rom drive should be able to play any of those.
No, you enjoy a CD-ROM drive and a CD/RW drive. The DVD writers (super drives) didn't ship without specifying an upgrade until outstandingly recently.

You can procure a good DVD/RW drive for around $40. I resembling the NEC and the LiteOn brands the best. My favorite on-line store is newegg.com and they have deeply fast shipping. Look for one that comes bundled next to Nero or other burning software - it will save you a LOT of money.

Good Luck
