Because p5n-e sli is designed for sli but I want the ATI x1950pro card...does it work on p5n-e sli?

Yes, as long as they hold a matching interface. If the card is PCI Expressx16 interface, which I'm assuming, and the motherboard have PCI Express x16 slots, which it does (because it can run SLI.) So yes, it will work.
NO! The x1950 is crossfire only. Not compatible.
