I maintain seeing pictures of internal HDs with the disks and reader exposed. Is this right? Shouldn't they have some kindly of casing?
Do internal HDDs inevitability any genus of covering?
Some do some dont. Ive have harddrives come with rubber wrappings around them, I enjoy several harddrives (both IDE and SATA) where the corner of the round discs are exposed. Just preserve that side down and you should be fine, as dust wont accumulate on in attendance...
They do
the pics you see are just for demo purposes..
HDDs involve airflow. They do not need covering. They hang on to their delicate bits hermetic internally.
However electronics is electronics. It doesn't take gently to being touched by static overloaded humans. You cover it to look nice, place it in a place near controlled airflow and to protect it from shocks, static, drops etc.
they have the film they need already on them
you cant enjoy a hdd open outside of a verbs room without it mortal damaged, so you wont get hold of sold one without.though they do look kinda cool and craft a good embellishment
Not only are they hermetically sealed against any dust particles, but they hold a built in meander strorm type effect. The read/write heads float above the medium because they have small wing projections. The spinning medium creates the wind that hits the wing lifting the heads in the order of a micron over the surface. No contact is usually made between the media and read/write head until you power off. Then the head swing back to their 'parking zone'.
