I live within a mild climate, 70 degrees is hot, 80 is roasting and 90 we adjectives just drop limp.

No, the sunlight will not harm your computer or your LCD. As long as the look hard from the sun doesn't annoy you, there's nothing wrong next to the placement of your computer.
Where I live, during the day it get up to 110. You guessed it, Phoenix, AZ. What you're dealing with is never going to be a problem. it's fine for any one, it shouldn't hurt a thing.
