You can usually see on the motherboard an nouns similar to the connector on back of the drives. On the motherboard they are labeled primary and lower. Typically, you want the hard drives as your primary (1st priority) and your DVD/CD optical drives as your inferior

the harddives use the cable with the tinner wires and the cd dvd uses the fatter telecommunication the long end plugs itto the motherboard the uttermost is the master and the other is the slave
Well you have to be specific because in attendance are many cable there can be a ATA or power or adapters for unusual mother board to CPU or just a bunch of other cable!
