Core 2 Duo???

if the specs on a core 2 duo processor mention clock speed to be 2ghz, that mode the total clock speed is 4ghz because of the two processors rite? Im asking because I'm buying a custom pc and it seem that for some reason a 2ghz core 2 duo-dual core is more expensive than a 3.2 ghz regular dual core...

Core 2 Duo???

It is NOT 2+2 =4. There are plentiful more issues to consider. Core2duo is he best mainline processor currently. (there are quad core, but the ap has to support it, plus theyre really expensive)
I merely got a different custom computer with a 2.13 GHz Duel Core end Wednesday, and it's pretty good. I would read out go for it.
hi,

core 2 duo cpu is an advanced processor invented and manufactured by intel for desktop and laptps. It is have almost above 1000 MHz clock speed and 4Mb L2 cache. So it can work more faster than duel core processor. But these processors are available in 1.8Ghz and 2.12Ghz.The cost is 3 times more than duel core processor.
No

what it resources it that both processors run at 2 ghz and that will improve the power of the PC and can process things faster. I own a AMD dual core and a Intel single core at 3.0 ghz..the AMD is almost 3 times faster in benchmark test. Dual core is better but you have to build the PC to pocket advantage of that power,,,memory ...video card ect..

Good luck and you also necessitate to look into a 64 bit OS. That is what makes a difference. And the software that take advantage of it.
cogitate of it as a two lane road... the max speed is 20 km/h but two lines of cars can travel at the same time
here core 2 duo doesnt plan 2+2.here it works equally on multiple works.for example you will not face trouble while playing big games and listen music togather.but it will provide normal processing speed for the game(ex-2 gh)
