Disk drive surrounded by 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers'?

I'm trying to find my ASUS disk drive lower than 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers' (device manager) but there are six option;

Primary IDE Channel

Primary IDE Channel

Secondery IDE Channel

Secondery IDE Channel

SiS PCi IDE Controller

Standard Duel Channel PCI IDE Controller

Which one is my disk drive?

Disk drive surrounded by 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers'?

None of those are the disk drive itself. The disk drive has its own category contained by the device manager call Disk Drives. It is normally the second one down.

If you are looking for which controller is handling your frozen drive(which are the things you listed) you need to jump into your BIOS(usually press del at startup, the boot screen should read out what to push) and in nearby it will list the controllers and what disk drive is connected to respectively.

An alternative way to find this is to only just right click on each of the ones you planned and it should list which device, if any, is connected to the controller.

The answers post by the user, for information one and only, RunQA.com does not guarantee the right.
